Employees of the animal shelter found a Pyrenean mountain dog puppy in a box. The baby was abandoned by the breeder because she was born without front paws.
Upon examination, it turned out that the hind leg was still damaged, and it had to be amputated. The puppy was named Halo and settled in a shelter for disabled animals.
“We have blind and deaf animals, pets with diabetes, cerebral palsy, deformities, missing limbs, broken vertebrae… They all become part of our family,” said Jamie Wallace–Griner, the founder of the shelter in Texas.
According to Jamie, Halo is very cheerful. She didn’t realize that she was different from other dogs. As a child, Halo moved by jumping. When she grew up, she had prosthetics on her front paws. As soon as they were tried on, the dog sat down, leaning on them. After a few minutes she got up and went. It was a touching moment for Jamie, she could barely hold back tears.
It hasn’t been long, and Halo is already running around the yard with other dogs.
