The most vital character on a puppies’ lifestyle is their proprietor, with whom they share remarkable joyful recollections, meals and domestic. Therefore when a dog’s proprietor passes away, for the poor creature that is the most heartbreaking issue he endures.
The Humane Society in Quincy, Michigan, recently took in a senior Chihuahua named Scooter who had just lost his owner. Not only was Scooter now without his best friend, but he was also stuck in a place that was very scary and stressful for him. A kennel, barking dogs, new people – things Scooter was not used to.
Every night, Scooter tucks himself in just like his owner used to do. After he is fully cloaked in his cherished star blanket, he just breaks down and cries himself to sleep. He not only misses his owner, but is also scared of what lies ahead for him.
Shelter workers’ hearts broke as they watched Scooter night after night. They couldn’t bare to see him like this anymore, so they shared a picture of his nightly ritual on Facebook, in the hopes that someone would want to adopt this sad senior pup.
Scooter is not the only elderly puppy who is placed in a safe haven after the owner leaves. This often happens when no one can take care of them after the owner leaves. But Scooter was successful. After his Facebook went online, it touched many people, and the suggestion of adopting him began to pour in.
The lucky person chosen to adopt Scooter was a local woman named Jessica Howard, who is not at all new to rescuing dogs.
She has promised to give Scooter a loving environment to live out his golden years with his new doggy siblings.
In his new home, Scooter has quickly come out of his shell. And he is already feeling so much better. He still continues his nightly bed-time routine. Except now he gets to do it in the comfort of a loving home instead of the scary shelter.
