The story of this dog is, unfortunately, very typical. She served people for years and truly loved them. But they just threw her out on the street, cutting her out of their lives. They put the dog in a car, drove away and left her in the middle of the road. The owners never thought of her again.
The dog nestled into the courtyard of an apartment building and stayed there. She looked hopefully into the faces of passersby, but they remained indifferent to her.
The dog got along well with children. Perhaps there were children in the previous family. She was good-natured toward other animals. Probably used to live with them.
Living on the street, the dog became ill. We were approached by concerned people who asked us to help with the treatment because they did not have the money to do so. The vets found a severe inflammation, foreign secretions and insisted on an operation. The treatment is expensive, but it cannot be postponed. The dog also needs to be spayed right away.
It is difficult to understand the reasons for the disease. Perhaps it was the strong stress of betrayal of people, or maybe it was the life on the street.
The girl was named Squirrel. She really needs our help, and we need the help of everyone who cares. We hope very much that the girl will find a family. She misses people, care and attention and is ready to respond with devotion and sincere love. A family is very important to this dog. And we don’t want her to go back out on the street again.
