One day Zhenya was browsing the Internet when she came across a photo of a wild sable, and instantly fell in love.
The sable, whose silky fur is one of the most demanded and expensive in the world, was next in line for destruction at the fur farm.
Zhenya went to rescue this beautiful creature.
“In the end, I found out that there is an opportunity to buy her from a fur farm. She would have died there, so I decided to save the baby.»
She named sable Umora, and it wasn’t long before the couple snuggled up to each other and started living together.
«Umora has a complex character. Life on a fur farm has affected her a lot, so she is quite emotional, sometimes even hysterical”.
Umora is also a very playful animal. She’s cheeky and likes to steal things. She is very active and smart.
Zhenya tried very hard to be able to keep her exotic pet, and does not advise keeping it as a pet.
“You have to go through a lot before you start living comfortably with her,» she says.
“It takes a lot of time and patience. It may even take a few years before you start to fully enjoy life with her”.
