The dog’s grief was boundless. Except something happened to her. Maybe the owner kicked her out? Or did he take it somewhere, but left it there? What this poor dog has done is anyone’s guess.
Maria was walking home, dreaming of getting warm as soon as possible and hiding from the pouring rain. And then she noticed that a dog was lying curled up on the street. The poor dog was desperate to find a warm and dry place. So she tried to fall asleep on the ground. Raindrops fell on her sad face, and it seemed that she was crying. Maybe it was.
The girl felt so sorry for the mongrel that she came very close to her. And then, obeying some inner impulse, she suddenly asked her: «Will you come to live with me?!”
The dog seemed to understand every word of Maria! She jumped to her paws, preparing to follow her new mistress.
The girl tried to find her former owners, but to no avail. Maria was even happy about it. The dog found in the rain was named Bella.
Bella turned out to be an incredibly affectionate and understanding dog! She quickly got used to her new family and now lives a happy life full of sweets and hugs.
