It must not be easy to grow up in the spotlight when both of your parents are famous Hollywood stars.
Certainly, you won’t lack for anything, and there are much worse environments to be born into, but for Dylan Michael and Carys Zeta Douglas, the children of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, life has been nothing short of interesting.
The media has closely followed the growth of Dylan and Carys, and many have wondered whether they would follow in their famous parents’ footsteps in the celebrity world. Now, at least in Carys’s case, it seems we have an answer…
Zeta-Jones herself has openly admitted that her two children would follow her into the big screen, or at least attempt to.
The 49-year-old woman stated in an interview with Hello! Magazine: “When they’re on stage, you want to watch them. And they are interested in the business. My son wants to do a Bachelor of Arts in theater. My daughter wanted to be a pediatrician until she was five when she decided theater was better.”
With both children aspiring to follow in their parents’ footsteps, many are interested in their progress. To be convinced, one only needs to witness the recent buzz around Carys, who is turning heads simply because she is increasingly resembling her mother.
The teenager made her debut at New York Fashion Week last year, an appearance that generated a massive buzz.
Since then, she has remained relatively low-key – which is perfectly acceptable given that she is only 15 years old – but the radio silence ended this week after she accompanied her mother to another fashion event.
Carys and Catherine stole the spotlight at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda women’s couture event held at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Arriving in matching outfits, mother and daughter posed for a number of photos that showcased their resemblance.
Carys is certainly blossoming into a beautiful woman, much like her mother. On top of that, she has a very likable personality!
