Katie Fuscaldo first saw her future pet Rockett when he was barely a week old.
The event took place in the courtyard of a woman. The raccoon got lost without a mother and just wandered through the grass. Katie decided that she could help the animal, and began to take care of it, feeding it with a mixture.
Leaving the animal with her forever was not part of the woman’s plans. But Rockett decided he didn’t want to go back into the wild.
Vaccinated and fed, the little raccoon was released from the house. But he never went outside of Katie’s yard.
Rockett is now friends with Katie’s dogs. She sees them as her team for active games and pranks.
The raccoon always comes into the house, and often even sleeps with the foster mother.
Katie says, “We have a great relationship! She needed me as her mother.”
The woman admits that before meeting the raccoon, she did not even think that this animal could be so affectionate, intelligent and cute.
Katie has created an Instagram account dedicated to Rockett.
