A Utah father and daughter are dead after a bulldozer fell on their pickup truck over the weekend.

A devastating crash in Ogden Canyon on Saturday claimed the lives of Richard David Hendrickson, CEO and president of Lifetime Products, and his 16-year-old daughter Sally. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a bulldozer being towed by a truck broke loose and crashed into their pickup truck, causing instant deaths.

Hendrickson was more than just a business leader, according to Lifetime Products. He was a man of diverse talents, legendary mechanical skill and an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Utah Governor Spencer Cox, a friend of Hendrickson’s, expressed his condolences, saying, “I mourn the loss of my friend and leader… my thoughts are with the family.”

The community is deeply affected by this tragic event. Hendrickson was also the stake president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Two other passengers in the pickup truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred at 12:49 p.m. Saturday, and both Hendrickson and Sally were pronounced dead at the scene. Richard and Sally’s family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They will be deeply missed by the community, and their loss will be greatly felt.
