«When Hannah bought the old Victorian house, the family was sad because it was falling apart. Hanna Janickiewicz, a mother of three from Merseyside, England, bought the beautiful Victorian villa in 2013. But the house’s old glory had faded: it was cracked and dilapidated on the outside, and it was better not to go inside.
Although the 41-year-old woman enjoyed the renovations, she knew the house would require a lot of effort and money, so she put the project on hold for now. In 2019, Hanna decided to seriously consider it. The villa was so bad that it would have been easier to demolish it, but the woman wanted to renovate it.
This included replacing all the pipes, re-laying floors, replacing windows and even renovating some walls, and it took the team more than six months to restore the external brick wall. Hanna had to work hard, but she was constantly changing the house and thinking about the design. “Honestly, it was the worst house on the street.
And I wanted to create a clear, open space that could be used. I liked the original look of the house and tried to preserve its spirit and key functions,” Hannah reveals. Thanks to the renovation, Hanna was able to turn her house into a jewel of the city. The value of the villa increased by $216,000, but the mother of three children is not thinking of selling it.”
