A 20-year-old man named Raden Soyemavinata was on the Brighton Pier and scattered his grandmother’s ashes in Melbourne Bay, Australia. But when he said goodbye to one life, he had no idea that he would eventually save another.
As he was paying his respects, a small dog named BB was blown off the pier into the water by a strong wind. Its owner Sue Drummond panicked and was afraid that her furry best friend might drown.
Without hesitation, Soyemavinata quickly jumped into the water to save the frightened puppy, while a frightened Drummond and other passers-by watched.
Fortunately, Soyemavinata was able to grab the drowning BB and pull him out of the water to bring him to safety. He was holding BB, and Drummond knelt down and picked him up. Drummond hugged Soyemavinata tightly and breathed a sigh of relief after her fluffy baby was safe.
She never expected that this could happen.
Without Soyemavinata, poor BB could have drowned. Drummond says she didn’t want to jump into the water after him because she wasn’t sure she would get ashore with the dog.
Fortunately, Soyemavinata, who was hailed as a hero, was in the right place at the right time to save BB. It was definitely fate. Both BB and Drummond are more than grateful to him for his quick wit.
