Zoltán was snatched from death at a very young age, at 38, but the last two years of his life were hell on earth anyway. He is the father whose four-year-old daughter was forgotten by a driver on the bus transporting preschool children in Tomajmonostora on June 7, 2022. Little Inez lost her life in a cruel way: in the blazing sun, in an uncovered parking lot, in a vehicle with closed doors and windows, where it was over 50 degrees and stuffy, she was locked up for hours. The child lost consciousness and suffered heat stroke.
Although she was taken to hospital the same day, she suffered such severe damage to her health that she died three days later. Her father wished that the driver would be adequately punished for his negligence, but he did not live to see the day of the trial when the final verdict was pronounced. The day before, he was buried and basically died of grief. The girl’s tragically deceased father had known for some time that a terrible disease had affected his body, but until the last minute he fought and did not even think that the end was so close. In 2020, he was diagnosed with cancer, and that same year he underwent surgery and also received chemotherapy. –
After that, he got better, he even continued his work as a construction machine operator, but what happened to his daughter affected him so much that it was such a huge trauma for him that it aggravated his illness and increased the symptoms. The tumor eventually spread so far in his body that he could no longer be helped – his mother, Istvánné Sztruhala, told Vasárnapi Blikk sadly. On the last day, the young man was taken to hospital to receive an infusion and be examined.
His family returned home in the evening, and the terrible news reached his partner in the early hours of October 3. The young father’s funeral took place on the 14th, just before the driver, who was brought to trial for the tragedy of his daughter who had been forgotten and died in the hot bus, was finally convicted. He attended every trial at his lover’s side: this was also the plan this time.
