Most expectant mothers always wonder what their child will look like. They can’t wait to welcome the baby into their home. Some don’t worry about the appearance of their children, all they want is to have a healthy child. Every day, many children are born, and they all come in their unique shapes. The beauty of the world lies in its diversity. In 2015, a bundle of joy named Bence was born in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. He was not like other children; he was unique, and that caught the attention of the nurses and doctors. Bence was born with snow-white hair, which got everyone in the hospital talking, the doctors and nurses called him Prince Charming during his stay.
It was all the more controversial since Hungarians were known for their dark hair, and the silver color of their child left them in shock. Bence’s birth was normal and had no complications; during his stay in the womb, his mother had never complained of pain or anything like that, which might have been strange for her. Bence’s parents were not entirely happy with their son’s long white hair, they were afraid that something might go wrong. His white hair was not normal, and everyone feared for his health.
Doctors determined that he had a rare case of albinism, but after several tests and examinations, it was determined that he did not have a congenital partial absence of pigment, but simply low melanin levels. His case continued to be discussed among other doctors, as only his hair lacked the melanin pigment, which is not very common and might be the first time they have seen something like that. Dr. Zoltan Kummer was the doctor in charge of Bence’s case, and even after checking his vital signs and finding no trace of albinism, he still had to stay in the hospital. The reason was to make sure that he was healthy and could live a normal life afterward.
Dr. Kummer and other doctors said, “As he grows older, his hair will darken over time, and there is no need to worry,” despite all the assurances, his parents continued to be worried about him. They posted the newborn on social media like any other baby, which attracted many fans who couldn’t stop gushing about him. Bence’s parents never knew that their bundle of joy would attract a lot of public attention, and people always called him cute because he really looked like a Prince Charming. He created a media frenzy, and millions of people couldn’t stop admiring the cute baby.
