At first it seemed that nothing could have prevented what was about to happen, especially with the risky jump – the injuries could have been catastrophic. But then the coach saved the situation with remarkable precision.
It is so reassuring when children are under the watchful eye of capable adults. For example, without the quick reflexes of the coach, an 11-year-old gymnast’s mistake could have resulted in a serious injury.
Cadence, a dedicated Canadian gymnast, was performing a demanding move on the horizontal bar when she lost her footing. In a split second, she could have seriously injured her neck. But her coach Vitaly acted like a true hero, immediately recognizing the danger and preventing a head injury.
He did a somersault and caught the young gymnast in midair, allowing her to land safely. “We are incredibly grateful to have such talented instructors!” We wish Cadence continued success in her gymnastics career and hope she always has such a caring coach by her side.
