Jennifer Love Hewitt has wittily responded to critics who called her “unrecognizable” in new photos

Jennifer Love Hewitt has been receiving an avalanche of comments on her social media, with many accusing her of having plastic surgery after posting new pictures.

However, the 44-year-old actress responded unexpectedly to these online trolls, which surprised us even more.

It all started when @nikkilee901, the Ghost Whisperer star’s hairdresser,

posted a video on Instagram showing a major hair change.

The video showed the beautiful actress cutting her long bleached hair into a sleek bob with trendy bangs.

She also decided to change her hair color to a rich mahogany brown.

The hairdresser commented on the post, “It’s time to add some spice,” accompanied by a red chili pepper emoji.

Numerous fans praised the actress for her new look. For example, one person commented, “BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS I LOVE YOU JENNIFER,” while another added,

“In love since I was a teenager!”

However, several people accused the star of having recently undergone plastic surgery and speculated about the possibility of an eyebrow lift.

Some even went as far as calling her “unrecognizable.”

Love Hewitt responded to these comments on Sunday in a smart and playful way, which she shared via her Instagram Stories.

Addressing commenters directly, she noted, “A lot of people have said I look different,” adding,

“I’m the same as I always have. I couldn’t look more natural. I woke up like this. Filters don’t change you that much.”

What made her response truly remarkable, however, was the way she presented herself in these videos.

The 44-year-old applied a series of filters to her face, resulting in a completely transformed look.

He added a heartfelt message to his post, saying, “Let people be filtered or unfiltered. Be good. Be kind. Spread love.”

We fully support the star’s compassionate message of spreading love and applaud her for being both open and honest about her life.

This year, as she celebrated her 44th birthday, Love Hewitt openly shared her feelings of “insecurity about aging,” which made us feel even more connected to her.
