Beluga whale couple can’t stop smiling with joy: They are rescued from their performance as show animals

It was a great day for the animals, and they could hardly contain their excitement as the animal rescue team relocated them!

The whale pair spent nine years as entertainers at Shanghai Ocean World. They were forced to perform tricks to get their daily food. They were brought to China by a Russian research center in 2011.

After that, they were far from the ocean, and it seemed as if the whales would never return home.

Thanks to the UK-based charity group Sea Life Trust, this sweet pair has now been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to return to the ocean. Their new home is 6,000 miles away – in Iceland.
