A teenager noticed a little girl sitting on the pavement and crying: he decided to approach her, but then something unexpected happened 😲😲
10-year-old Ilya loved to visit the train station. This noisy, lively corner of the city seemed special to him. Sometimes he came here with friends, but more often – alone. He liked to sit on a bench near the third track, do his homework or just watch the trains go into the distance, dreaming of future travels.
That day, everything began as usual. The sun was setting, the evening wind lazily blew along the platform. Ilya settled in his usual place, when suddenly he noticed something strange – a girl was sitting on the pavement very close, near a lamp post. Little, about four or five years old. She was hugging her teddy bear tightly and crying bitterly, not paying attention to anyone.
Ilya was confused, but decided to approach the girl and then something unexpected happened 😲😲 Continued 👇👇
The teenager noticed a little girl who was sitting on the asphalt and crying: he decided to approach her, but then something unexpected happened
— Why are you crying? Are you alone?
The girl didn’t answer, she just shook her head and hugged the toy even tighter. He sat down next to her:
— Are you lost? What’s your name?
— Sasha… — she whispered. — Mom and I were walking… she went to get tickets and told me to sit here. But she’s been gone for a long time…
Ilya frowned. He had been at the station for more than half an hour, but he hadn’t seen any woman with a child.
— Do you know Mom’s phone number?
The girl nodded and, sobbing, dictated it.

Ilya took an old push-button phone out of his backpack — his parents had given it to him “just in case.” He dialed the number. Several beeps. The phone picked up.
— Hello? — a woman’s voice, alarmed.
— Hello. This is… I found your daughter. She’s at the station, near platform three. She’s sitting alone and crying.
— Oh my God! — the woman almost screamed. — I just stepped away for a minute to get tickets, and she was already gone! I’m running around the station, calling security!
— She’s here. Everything’s fine, — Ilya said. — I’m with her.
Only a couple of minutes passed, and the woman ran up, out of breath, with a phone in her hand and her eyes full of tears. She grabbed the girl in her arms, repeating “Sashka, forgive me… forgive me…”

When everything calmed down a bit, the woman looked at Ilya:
– Thank you. I left her for a second – and she, apparently, went the wrong way… It’s terrible. And if it weren’t for you… And if she got hit by a train… Thank you, you’re a hero.
Ilya just shrugged. He felt a little awkward, but inside there was some new, warm feeling. He just did what he thought was right.
