Send prayers for the family

At least 15 people lost their lives in a horrific accident in Manitoba, Canada, on Thursday. A bus carrying elderly passengers collided with a truck at an intersection near Carberry, 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

The bus passengers were on their way to a casino in Carberry. Deputy Chief of Police Rob Hill, commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, confirmed that “at least 15 people were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.” Ten other people are receiving medical attention in hospital.

Both drivers survived, but police have not said who was responsible for the accident. Images from the scene showed destroyed wheelchair spaces and walkers near the tarps covering the bodies. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his condolences, saying his thoughts were with the injured and the families of those who lost loved ones.

Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson also expressed her condolences.
