She was very famous as a child, but she gave up her career at the height of her success because of alcoholism: how is she doing now at 45?

Today we’re telling you about the famous talented woman who once won the hearts of millions. We’re talking about Alison Porter. Alison Porter was born on June 20, 1981 in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Her career in show business began early, at the age of three, with her first commercial. At the age of six she appeared in the mini-series ‘I Will Conquer Manhattan’ and at eight she was the leading actress in the film ‘Parents’.

A year later she got a role in ‘Curly Sue’ alongside the famous actor James Belushi. Her role as a little girl traveling with Belushi brought her great admiration and highlighted her charm, intelligence and the innocence of her curls. Despite this success, Alison decided to take a break from acting to focus on her studies. During her studies in Connecticut she discovered her passion for the stage and honed her singing talent in children’s theater.

At 18, Alison moved first to New York and then to Los Angeles to pursue her interests in theater and music. In 2003, she became the lead singer of the band Raz, but the group disbanded the following year. Determined, she founded the Alisan Porter Project in 2005, but was unable to achieve the success of her acting career. Her true triumph came in 2016 with victory in the tenth season of ‘The Voice’ in the US. Despite her success in music, her fame in Russia remains quite limited.

Personally, Alison has overcome an addiction and married Brian Otenrit, a former actor turned entrepreneur, in 2012 after 13 years of engagement. They live happily together and are proud parents of Mason Blaize and Aria Sage. Although she fondly remembers her role in ‘Curly Sue’, Alison stresses that her true passion is music. Even though she appreciates her path, she remains firmly dedicated to music.
