The sad reality is that dogs that are too thin and emaciated often end up in shelters. It shocks me to see animals suffer to the point where they are almost unable to stand on their feet.
Some show affection and trust towards humans despite the abuse they have suffered, while others cower at the sight of a rescuer. It is hard to imagine thinking from time to time what these animals have been through.
It is impossible for me to think that I could ever want to harm an animal. Moreover, it is incomprehensible to me how someone could find joy in doing so.
The people who work with animals know how important it is to give a neglected animal the opportunity to connect. It is normal to play with a dog and pet it to show it that you are not a threat, but this is not always the best solution.
Some people just can’t understand that a dog that has been abused can be scared by an unknown person. It’s hard to watch the first part of the video. Edie is so scared that she doesn’t know what to do. She senses that this man is a threat, so her whole body shakes and she barks to get rid of him
