The dog saved his owner’s life when no one was around

Meet Kelsey, the golden retriever who proves why dogs are really our best friends. His owner, Bob from Michigan, once slipped on ice and broke his neck right outside his house.

“I was screaming for help, but my nearest neighbor is about a quarter of a mile away from me, and the time was about 22:30.”

It seemed that Bob was in a quandary. But luckily for him, he had his furry guardian angel by his side,

“but then my Kelsey came and saved me. By morning my voice was gone and I couldn’t call for help, but Kelsey wouldn’t stop
barking.”

On a frosty winter night, Bob was only in his long johns, slippers and shirt, as he planned to leave the house only for firewood for the fireplace. Instead, it turned into a 20-hour ordeal as Bob lay paralyzed in the snow. If it wasn’t for his furry friend, he would most likely have frozen very much. Bob explained:

“She kept calling for help, but she didn’t leave my side. She kept me warm and cheerful. I knew I had to go through with it, and that it was my choice to stay alive.”

Unfortunately, Bob lost consciousness at the 19th hour, but Kelsey hasn’t given up yet!

“She was making this high-pitched howl that alerted my neighbor. He found me.”

Eventually, after a neighbor found him, Bob was taken directly to a local hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
He is now fully recovered. According to him, Kelsey saved his life.
