Before the 2014 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships, U.S. figure skating champion Jason Brown, along with his coach and choreographer, began thinking about a new performance program. When his team suggested performing Riverdance’s “Reel Around The Sun” for free, Jason thought they had lost their minds.
However, this decision turned out to be a stroke of genius. The audience was mesmerized by the performance and reacted with excitement and amazement to every element! All eyes were on Jason and his skating. Since Riverdance is a dance show, one can imagine the challenge of performing it on ice.
Jason performed his program perfectly and even before he finished, the audience began to applaud the talented skater.
