Natmeg is an ordinary, striped cat that was found by the Finley couple. The veterinarian who examined him said that the cat was at least 5 years old at the time. The couple decided that the day he was found, it was Natmeg’s birthday and he was 5 years old.
They became very attached to the pet.
The couple tells that the cat lives a very interesting and busy life. He wakes up his owners every day at 5 a.m. sharp and someone gets up to feed him.
To confirm the cat’s age officially, the Finley couple are now processing the paperwork. After that, he will be recognized as the oldest living cat.
Despite his age, which is 141 by human standards, Natmeg is cheerful, playful and fond of affection.
Last year the cat had a mini-infarction, but quality veterinary medicine helped him recover without consequences.
The family is very proud of their pet.
