Elegance meets heavy metal! Oona and Gage Brown, ice dancers on the US National Team, showcase their incredible talent here. Their impressive camerawork truly demonstrates their expertise. The following video was shot in 2020 on the ice rink at Bryant’s Park Winter Village in New York during a free dance event. The 2019 USA bronze medalists are Gage and Oona Brown.
The family consists of seven children who make up the Olympic dance team. In 2018 and 2019, they were part of the US National Team, placing eighth and ninth, respectively, at the Junior Grand Prix. After seeing their older sister take up figure skating in 2009, the two decided to give it a try. Gage started at the age of seven, following his older sister’s example.
As early as five years old, Oona was “clawing her way onto the ice and refusing to accept help or get off” during her first year. Oona Brown and Gage Brown – 2020 U.S. Junior Ice Dance Championships. Oona and Gage tried their hand at solo dancing, which led to the formation of their sibling duo.
Both admitted that performing solo was extremely nerve-wracking; however, they both feel much more comfortable and confident performing together in concerts.
