This island is full of friendly wolves, and you can visit it

Admit it: you’ve always wanted to pet a wolf! And walk with him in the woods! And howl at the moon together!

The Predators of the Heart Sanctuary in Washington State offers this opportunity.

At Predators of the Heart Sanctuary, you can go on a forest tour with wolves.

Wolves are very friendly. They only wear collars for photo shoots.

You can pet and scratch them.

The sanctuary contains only animals that cannot survive in the wild.

Wild wolves don’t show any friendliness to humans, but here the animals are well-mannered.

The reserve is located on an island between Seattle and Vancouver. You can’t just come here. You have to book a tour in advance.

The cost is about $200 per person. Usually there are 2 excursions a day, 6 days a week (Sundays are wolves weekend).

There have been only two accidents since the existence of the reserve: once wolves ripped apart a dog that accidentally wandered into the area; the other time a wolf escaped to a neighbor’s property.

«Our goal is to educate children about nature and teach them to respect all living creatures,» the preserve’s website says.

There are other animals in the reserve — cougars, birds and other rescued wild animals.
