98-year-old mother moved into nursing home to care for her 80-year-old son

What could be stronger than a mother’s love? Nothing! Ada Keating, 98, moved in to care for her son, 80-year-old Tom, in a nursing home.

Tom needs special care. The staff at the shelter can’t provide him with adequate comfort. Tom’s mother had worked all her life as a nurse’s aide, so the woman’s help was just right.

Before retiring, Tom worked as an artist and decorator at HE Simm.

In 2016, he went to Moss View Nursing Home because he needed constant care.

Mother and son love each other very much. Every night they wish each other good night.

They do everything together, they especially like to watch TV.

If Ada goes to the hairdresser’s, Tom waits for her to come back, meets his mother, and hugs her tightly.

Tom never got married in his whole life. He spent most of his years by his mother’s side. There is a close, incredibly strong bond between them.

“No matter how old you are, you’ll always be a mom,” Ada says.
