A woman at the age of 103 jumped with a parachute and broke the world record

A 103-year-old Swedish resident named Ruth Linnea Ingegaard Larsson jumped from a parachute and made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. During the jump, Larsson was listening to the song «Try Your Wings» by Swedish composer Lasse Dahlqvist. Her family was waiting for her on the ground. Larsson began flying paragliders at age 90, and her first skydive at age 102.

At the moment, in addition to parachuting, the woman enjoys doing crossword puzzles and sings in the church choir. She also enjoys spending time with her family — she has five children, 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

A Swedish woman broke the record set by Katherine Hodges in 2019. The woman skydived at the age of 103 years and 129 days. Larrson, on the other hand, was 103 years and 259 days old at the time of the record.

The oldest man to make a parachute jump remains Alfred Blaschke. He set his record in 2020 at the age of 103 years and 181 days.
