This tragic story with a happy ending happened in the city of Omsk. On December 29, a man was driving a car and saw two unfortunate abandoned puppies on the side of the road.
He stopped the car to feed them.
Holding the food in his hands, he called the dogs. But they didn’t budge. The man came closer. No one rushed to him anyway.
Then, bending over the puppies, he realized what the problem was. One of the dogs froze on the ice. She couldn’t move.
In addition, the wounds on her body indicated that she had been hit by a car. Most likely, after a collision with a car, the puppy got out of the road and lay down on the side of the road. That’s where she got trapped.
The second dog, apparently her brother, did not leave the injured sister. Of course he was trying to free her. However, the only thing the puppy could do was to warm the unfortunate dog with his body. Two puppies were threatened with a terrible and painful death from hunger and cold.
A person could not remain indifferent to this situation. The man pulled an axe out of the car, broke the ice around the dog and freed the dog from the ice captivity.
Taking both of them, he brought the dogs to the animal kennel «Friend». Even despite the workload, the staff of the shelter could not refuse to accept the unfortunate.
The puppy is much better now. She’s in rehab, but the worst is over. She and her brother are now warm and caring.
