One day, Stuart McDaniel — the owner of the marketing firm «GuRuStu» in Tulsa (Oklahoma, USA) — had a problem. Mice appeared in the premises of their office located on the ground floor. Having decided to get a cat, Stuart went to a local animal shelter. The man took a six-month-old kitten from there and settled it in the company’s office.
The kitten is perfectly settled in a new place. He spent the whole day walking around the office, climbing on computer keyboards and «helping» employees to send still unfinished emails. And he also caught mice. One day, the company’s employees discovered something strange. In front of the closed glass doors leading out of the building, a pile of small banknotes lay on the floor, and their cat sat next to them. People were at a loss. Where did the little fraudster get the money and in such quantity?

Having decided to find out what was going on, the staff began to closely monitor the cat and found out the following. During the day, the animal spends a lot of time in front of glass doors, basking in the sun. People passing by, wanting to play with an unusual employee, slipped a banknote into the slot, and the cat deftly snatched it out.
The building is located in an area where there are many entertainment centers and pedestrian paths. During the day, a lot of people who are not in a hurry pass by the office. Therefore, a lot of money is collected by the end of the evening. The employees of the company, together with the owner, decided to use the money «earned» by the cat for a good cause – to transfer it to a local center for the homeless. And a corresponding advertisement was hung on the office door. The fame of the philanthropist cat quickly spread outside the city, and people began to send money to charity even by mail and the Internet.
After the cat’s addiction to cash was discovered, he was given the nickname CASHnip
