The shelter staff found the dog tied to the gate in the morning when they arrived at work. The scene they saw shook them badly. It was hard to say how long it had been there. But the dog wagged its tail happily at the sight of people. She was probably waiting to be found.
The poor animal, abandoned to the mercy of fate, stuck its muzzle through the bars of the gate and looked at the shelter staff with pleading eyes.
Good thing the dog’s previous owners had the good sense to leave it near the shelter. It literally saved her life. People with their indifference and cruelty, brought the dog to a terrible condition. She was so thin that all of her ribs were bulging and old incised wounds were visible on her nose. The dog also suffered greatly from serious skin diseases.
It was very important to the shelter staff that the dog was now in good hands. From that day on it was under the care of professionals.
Misty, as the dog was named, felt a little confused at first. Soon, the staff discovered she was wearing a chip.
After contacting the dog’s previous owner, shelter workers found out that the dog had been living with another person for the past few years. Therefore, it was impossible to find out what happened to her.
The shelter workers and concerned people decided to find out everything about Misty’s life before the shelter. They want to know who made the dog to this state and then just threw it away. If not for the shelter workers, she would have had no chance at a normal life.
