Cassandra Reshar and Grant Tribbett were lucky enough to meet through social media and have been dating for nine months. The man knew from the beginning that Cassandra was a single mother.
«Honestly, it was one of the many qualities that touched my heart,» the guy said in an interview.
He asked his sweetheart, along with her 5-year-old daughter Adriana, to dress up for breakfast together at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Cassandra felt something strange about asking him to dress up for the restaurant, since she and her daughter always dressed up nicely.
«My little girl and I got dressed up and he took us to a restaurant,» the 26-year-old wrote. «I was a little embarrassed by this need to dress up and started to get nervous.»
After the restaurant, Grant brought them to the reservation and led them to a very beautiful place with a wooden bridge. Then the guy got down on one knee and asked about marriage. Of course Cassandra said yes!
However, what her lover did afterwards surprised her even more.
«Grant turned around to make an almost similar proposal to my daughter,» the girl recalls. «He asked Adriana if he could be her father, and he promised to take care of her and love her all her life.»
Adriana replied, «Thank you,» but apparently the man was expecting an unequivocal yes or no answer. And Adriana immediately responded, «Yes! I’m finally going to have a daddy!»
To seal the agreement, the man gave his mother a ring and his daughter a necklace.
